Drought declared in California
What the article talked about was the water shortages in California. That if Californian's don't start conserving water their going to start cutting back on water or the water price is just going to rocket up. It also talks about California needs to stop depending on the Colorado River to provide southern California with fresh water because the river does not have as much water as it used to, do to hotter winters.
Worldwide Water Shortage on Horizon
A water shortages worldwide is becoming a crisis. By 2025 more than half the nations in the world will face freshwater stress or shortages and by 2050 as much as 75 % of the world's population could face freshwater scarcity. as this crisis grows the government is being forced to rethink the usage and how the manage water. Drinking water supplies, agriculture, energy production and generation, mining and industry all require large quantities of water. I think that we need to manage are water , because soon enough we well have limited resources of freshwater.
Drought declared in California
This article is about how governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a statewide drought. He warned citizens and water manager to cut the use of water or face the possibilty of rationing next year if there is another dry winter. He has also directed the state Department of Water Resources to help speed up water transfers to the places with the worst shortages. This article is telling us that there is a drought and to think about the way we are using our water and if we are using it wisely. This article let's us know that stuff like this is actually happening and we need to be cautious. I think it is good to let everybody know that a drought is declared and they did not just let a little bit of the community to know.

What is Terrorism?
The article I read was about Terrorism was explaining what Terrorism is "Terrorism is not new, and even though it has been used since the beginning of recorded history it can be relatively hard to define. Terrorism has been described variously as both a tactic and strategy; a crime and a holy duty; a justified reaction to oppression and an inexcusable abomination."
International security chiefs meet in Jerusalem to discuss counterterrorism
This article tells us that international security chiefs meet in Jerusalem and discussed about how to fight and decrease terrorism. Foreign minister Tzipi Livni believed that the international community should stop making moral equivalences between citizens who have been killed by suicide bombers and citizens who were killed during operations against militants. Nine different countries were involved with this meeting. This shows the world that people are not just sitting around and not doing anything about terrorism, they are actually getting together and figuring out what to do about terrorism. I think that the more that they show that they are actually attempting to do something about terrorism makes me more comfortable knowing that they are not just sitting around letting terrorist take advantage.

Patriot Act draws privacy concerns
What the article talked about was that the U.S. just signed a new bill known the USA Patriot Act, what It Is, Is a bill that gives the government more freedom to check the internet and look for any threat's of terrorism against the U.S. It was passed following the attacks of Sept. 11. It also gives the Government more law power to arrest s person, like if you were to overstay your visa for just one day, you would get arrested for that. Pretty much saying that the law's are being enforce and stricter.
Pentagon: Suspected Mastermind of USS Cole Bombing Confesses
The article I read is talking about a man named Waleed Mohammed Bin Atash who has been for a long time, suspected of plotting the bombing of the USS Cole. He finally confessed at the hearing that took place at Guantanamo Bay. In the hearing he includes many of his acts of retaliation against Americans. Like, he said that he bought a boat and some explosives to that he would later use on the USS Cole and just goes on with some other things he was also involved in. This one relates to terrorism and is important to that group because it's a real terrorist that's coming out of the closet and actually confessing what he did. I think that is what makes it important because I have never heard someone just confess things like that. I think that they should put this man in prison because of all the bad thing he did and he is not even ashamed to say what he's done. Terrorism is bad and should stop because they kill innocent people.
Terroris Research
"Terrorism is a criminal act that influences an audience beyond the immediate victim". The strategy of terrorists is to commit acts of violence that .draws the attention of the local populace, As we know war is been around for many year and today war is still around. For examaple, like Iraq and the whole bombing
Terrorism Research
In this article it defines what terrorism is. It explains that terrorism can mean multiple things it all depends on how it is done. Terrorism can be described as both a tactic or a strategy. In addition to a crime or holy duty or basically a justified reaction to oppression and an inexcusable abomination. As said in the article The United States Department of Defense defines terrorism as “the calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” I mean for me that is something that would be difficult to understand. In addition it seems as if the people that do this unlawful terrorism don't think of it as a bad thing because it was assigned for them to do by religion. So what would there definition of terrorism be to them? Also the FBI has there own definition of terrorism as well it is: "Terrorism is the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives." As a result, this article was basically explaining what terrorism really is. What it does and how it is accomplished. I believe we need to find more ways to stop it then to accomplish it.
what i learned
What I learned about a meeting taking place in Jerusalem he talked about how America was inroad with battling heart and minds.I learned how the main leader was talking about how civilians were being killed by suicide bombers. Then killed by militants. He said to his people that Israel was often criticized for harming civilians for sending them in operations against the militants.

Terrorism Research - What is Terrorism?
http://www.terrorism-research.com/It said that terrorism has been described variously as both a tactic and strategy. It also said that terrorism has often been an effective tactic for the weaker side in a conflict. As an asymmetric form of conflict, it confers coercive power with many of the advantages of military force at a fraction of the cost. It relates to the violence and threats that have been haunting the involved citizens of those attacks. It also relates to how this might look like when the world is at a brutal war. To my opinion, I think that whoever wrote this had done an outstanding job of how this article is wrote and how detailed it explains. I also think that this article is frightening because of how a terrorism or war was like back then in wars that involved both U.S. and other foreign countries.
Pentagon: Suspected Mastermind of USS Cole Bombing Confesses
Waleed Mohammed Bin Attash, is the leading suspect for the bombing of the USS Cole. he planned the attack during the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba hearing. Bin Attash, also helped plan the bombing of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 that killed 213.
Bin Attash confessing:
"I participated in the buying or purchasing of the explosives," bin Attash said when asked what his role was in the attacks on the Cole and the embassies. "I put together the plan for the operation a year and a half prior to the operation, buying the boat and recruiting the members that did the operation."
The release of Bin Attash's transcript came five days after the Pentagon released the record of hearings held for 3 other high-value suspects at Guantanamo. One of them, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, confessed to nearly 3 dozen plots including the 9/11 attacks on the U.S. bin met with the man operating the bomb hours before it taking place.

Food Shortages: How will we feed the world
This article I read is talking about how food prices are going up and will probably stay up until the year 2010. The rice prices have gone up and is estimated that it's raised about two and a half times nore then in January 2007. I also read that rich people spend about 10-20% of their money on food, while people in the less fortunate world spend from 60-80 of their money on food. The people in Africa have sold their tools, animals, and sheets of tin. I also read that nearly half of the earths potential agricultural land is beings unused. This article relates to the food shortage that's taking place all around the world mainly in the more poor countries. IT's giving probabilities of when it might be over too. I hope that all the more rich countries can get together and help fight this problem effecting the whole world.

Food shortages loom as wheat crop shrinks and prices rise
http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/natural_resources/article3423734.ece
It is saying that experts claim this as the climate changes was getting slumped by heat waves, causing a delay to harvests around the globe. The delay of crops and prices were being blamed for the use of land for biofuel crops. Basically, it relates to both climate changes and food shortages. I think this is absurd and abusing because of the heat waves affecting our food and how quickly it is shortening now.

40 countries face food shortages worldwide
What the article talks about are the different types of problems that food shortages bring to a country, also how the weather contributes to the food shortages, like the lack of wheat in the world that were starting to see, except in United States and Europe were they expect an incline, but many countries in Africa are having many problems with food shortages do to the climate, the lack of food and water. Thats the reason why lots of people are migrating to other countries. This relates to my team that were studying climate change and do to climate change we have a shortage of food. I think Global warming is the one causing all these changes and making all the problems, that in many years theirs probably not going to be a change for human life to exist in this world.
The Food Shortages; How we Feed the world
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2008/04/22/scifood122.xml
In the article Food Shortages; How will we feed the world? It talks about The era of cheap food is over grocery bills are driving up inflation and land prices are going through the roof. But steep rises in the price of staples such as wheat and rice are having an even bigger impact on poor countries. In the country of Camroon 24 people died because of food riots since the month of February. Also in the past few month theres been riots in Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Madagascar. This article relates to climate change because it says why people are having riots and sooner or later everyone is all over the world.

expert global food shortage
What I learned about expert global food shortage is that the world resources are being used up and won't return for 3 decades. We have to find a way to eat soon or we will all starve and their won't be anything to eat. If we can try to save the natural food resources then we will probably last 2 decades.
Food Shortages: How will we feed the world
I believe it is time we stand up and make a change. This is This Article explains the food shortages. It tells us how china is such a bid country and they have been increasing in their money. So many chines want to get meat. But it takes more food to grow the cow then to eat he food that they give the cow. Now almost 40 countries are loosing food and trying to get as much food as they can. Technology really isn't helping. It has helped but obviously not enough. People in Africa have to sell almost everything such as there clothes, animals, things they have made, and almost all there belongings to just be able to get food. This relates to many things such as water shortage. But most of this always comes back to Global Warming. Its preposterous that us humans see what is happening yet we just live our daily lives and do nothing else. We miss the crucial parts and soon we will see what our "mistakes" have done.
Food shortages loom as wheat crop shrinks and prices rise
The article "food shortages loom as wheat crop shrinks and prices rise", talking about how the world is 10 weeks away from completely running out of wheat supplies. the prices for bread, beer, biscuits and other basic foods. It could also create food shortages in developing countries especially in Africa. the blame the fall of wheat on climate change. 2 years of wheat harvests, which saw production fall from 624m to 600m tonnes. this article relates to global warming, because the climate change is killing the crops.
Food shortages loom as wheat crop shrinks and prices rise
This article in about the whole world will run out of wheat in 10 weeks. Since this crisis is happening the price of beer, bread, biscuits, etc. will rise drastically. Researchers blame climate change for this crisis. The heatwave is causing the wheat's to dry out and die. Another cause for the wheat issue is farmers are feeding their livestock with grains and wheat's. FAO(United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization) predict that these shortages will stop within 12 months. It is a good thing for them to inform us on what is happening and what we are losing out on. Knowing what is going on creates more people involved and wanting to stop this shortage. In knowing what is going on in the world like this shortages made me more involved in the situation of our climate changing drastically.

The world will run out of wheat in about 10 weeks. Its a trip to think that many people will starve because of the over use of natural resources. The article is talking about how we are running out of wheat in the world. The shortage of wheat will raise prices for wheat made materials at the stores. I think that people need to not be so greedy and waste full. The climate change is also having an effect on the amount and quality of crops being grown.

40 countries face food shortages worldwide
On Oct 9, 2006 40 countries face food problems such as African,Somalia,Asia,China, Central African Rebulic and etc due to hurricanes and reduced food aid and crop damage due to floods in July has increased the insecurity of food.Due to all the floods and hurricanes people lost many things and the food industries has decrease because food has been damage and they don't know if it save to give it to people who needed.Afghanistan due to high temperatures is creating big problems with food. Many countries are being help with food and supplies. This article relates to what are groups are working on like climate change, food ,water and such. I think its very sad to be in a situation like in these countries because I believe that food is one of the most important source in our life's. http://www.fao.org/newsroom/en/news/2006/1000416/index.htmlIf you wish to read
Climate Change Has A Big Impact On Oceans
The ocean is being affected by Climate and many other things such as coral reefs are being killed and the ocean temperature are getting warmer. In 1998 due to a worldwide bleaching event killed 20% of coral reefs and in the year of 2005 and lost 80%. The greenhouse gas emissions plays a big role on the big impact on oceans because its causing for the ocean to become warmer and yet putting coral reefs in danger once again.Greenhouse gas are creating dramatic buildup of atmospheric carbon dioxide, which is quickly making the world's oceans more acidic, said panelist Scott Doney of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. So what it sounds to me is that many thing are affecting climate change as well the ocean temps. animals, basically our earth,we have to be more cautions and big company's as well.
