Terrorism Research
In this article it defines what terrorism is. It explains that terrorism can mean multiple things it all depends on how it is done. Terrorism can be described as both a tactic or a strategy. In addition to a crime or holy duty or basically a justified reaction to oppression and an inexcusable abomination. As said in the article The United States Department of Defense defines terrorism as “the calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” I mean for me that is something that would be difficult to understand. In addition it seems as if the people that do this unlawful terrorism don't think of it as a bad thing because it was assigned for them to do by religion. So what would there definition of terrorism be to them? Also the FBI has there own definition of terrorism as well it is: "Terrorism is the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives." As a result, this article was basically explaining what terrorism really is. What it does and how it is accomplished. I believe we need to find more ways to stop it then to accomplish it.
